Prismatic Shapeism

at the DUNDAS STREET GALLERY, EDINBURGH

JANUARY 23rd - 28th 2009 Daily 10.30am - 6pm

PHILIP GREENE is mounting an exhibition of his recent work in the "Prismatic Shapeism" form. This is a concept of painting on sterling board making use of the random shapes that occur. Philip's use of colour is particularly striking and his work expresses both abstract and figurative ideas.

Philip moved from Edinburgh to the East Neuk of Fife in 2000 and he has developed his original painting technique through the "Accent on Colour" exhibition at the FAL Gallery in Burnley and subsequent showings at the Attic Gallery Leven.

Kevin Ramage of The Watermill, Aberfeldy, Perthshire selected Philip's painting "Panther" for the Frank Martin prize at the 2007 Summer Exhibition in Pitlochry.

This will be the first time that a substantial collection of work is displayed together and is sure to make an impact.

The paintings range from 9 x 9 inches up to 48 x 32 inches and are realistically priced for today's market.
